Lovely, lovely, lovely spring days. Time with family and friends, time to work, time to read and sip rosewater lemonade, time to play, time for a Friday night riverside fish fry, time for blossom-peeping walks around the neighborhood and time to relax. We’re planning a little getaway very soon and I can’t wait to hit the open road, see new sights, taste new food, and blog about all of it (of course.)

We had a “jar themed” picnic over Memorial Day weekend and it was so fun. I don’t think I’ll be able to go back to packing a picnic basket the old way now that I’ve experienced the ease of the jar picnic. No paper plates, easy clean up, no waste. Aren’t they adorable? We even used jam jars as wine glasses. So cute.
