hearing ~ The Dalton Academy Warblers (glee) cd… and gaga’s Paparazzi as I (the tea paparazzo) gear up for another tearoom photo shoot on location tomorrow. So excited to be nearing completion on my second article. These magazine assignments have made the summer zip right on by, but it’s been worth it. What a great experience and what an education. I am so honored to be writing  and photographing for such a beautiful publication. priceless.

tasting ~ homemade pesto on this grilled turkey caprese sandwich. mmmmmm! just spread pesto on bread, layer fresh mozzarella, basil leaves, tomato and deli turkey. grill as you would a regular grilled cheese sandwich.

feeling ~ the stress of the week melt away… napping on our hammock, reading a new summer reading list selection and a copy of Real Simple magazine….and sipping a glass of vino at my desk and write to you!

seeing ~ the ice cream truck meander down McSorley Street several times a week. I just love the romantic images and memories the little calliope-like music box conjurs up when I hear it in the distance as I count change for Gracie’s ice cream treats. one of my favorite summer simple pleasures.

smelling ~ chocolate walnut bliss pie and fresh strawberry shortcake. I’ve been busy playing in the kitchen again!

knowing ~ “Now and then it’s good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy.” ~ Guillaume Appollinaire

How is your weekend going so far? What are your favorite summer pleasures?
