I agree - want to visit Italy & France too, as well as Scottland. I spent a month in Ireland a long time ago and really wish I could go back, but there are so many places to visit that I haven't been yet. I doubt I'll get back there. It's hard to choose, especially when time and money are an issue. I definitely want to head to Italy for my next major vacation though!! Personally, I'm all about the beaches. As much as I want to see the sites and experience cultures and other countries, I'd be just as happy camping on a beach somewhere on a warm coast.

We want to visit England, Ireland, and Scotland on our second vacation to Europe. It sounds soooo pretty! gotta get to Italy (Rome, Venice, Tuscany, Positano) and France (Paris, Provence, and to Monet's and VanGogh's homes.)

You know, I bet you would absolutely ADORE Ireland! You can stay in cottages or B&Bs, but over there the B&Bs are people's homes, which I thought was really fascinating. The country is only as big as Minnesota, so it's pretty easy to visit most of the countryside while you're there. Tons of green and water, the shopping is fabulous, and the castles are undescribable!!! The crystal factory was fun, the people are completely inviting, the many Abbeys, the Cliffs of Mohar, Dublin City, - I could go on. LOL

Thanks for your ideas Kimber :) I think you expressed how I feel about beach vacations almost exactly. That's why the Paradisus Riviera Cancun vacation was so perfect for us. We've talked about Alaska (I think that's when a cruise might come in)...and we've been to Texas. Loved San Antonio, and hung out in Dallas/Ft. Worth (there was an especially cool coffee shop there called "Deep Ellum") Next time I go to TX I'll be visiting Sherida :)

I've been on 2 cruises now, and I have to say you should do it at least once - but otherwise, I find they aren't worth it. I love the food, entertainment and I always love the ocean - but that's where the cruises end for me. I think it's better to park my butt on the beach, enjoy a roomy condo and if I feel the need to be on the water, then pay for an excursion boat. Just my 2 cents there. Alaska would be cool, I've always wanted to go to the Florida Keys, maybe you should go to Texas (hey Sherida! hee hee) and I like your idea of touring wineries on the west coast!

Thanks Sandy. I like Florida too, the gulf is gorgeous. We especially enjoyed St. Petersburg beach. If we went to the New England states, we'd wait until summer or autumn. You're right! they get more snow then we do sometimes!
